Meltdown 2013 Volunteer Information

Volunteer Submission is currently closed for the 2013 season.

Volunteers are essential to the Summer Meltdown and our limited number of volunteer positions fill up fast. Volunteering is a great way to become an important part of the Meltdown community. Read carefully through the following details and inquire using the online form below.

 Volunteer Commitments:
We are looking for hardworking, fast thinking, and happy individuals for many types of work. Volunteers are required to work 12 hours throughout the weekend (in either 3hr or 4hr shifts, depending on job). In exchange for your hard work, you receive a weekend pass, early festival admittance, and a festival t-shirt . . . and the satisfaction of being part of the magic we call Meltdown.

Volunteers will be required to pay a $5 festival fee. This nominal fee goes towards offsetting the cost of t-shirts. This will be cash only and will be collected onsite during volunteer check in. Due to such a high volume of volunteers failing to complete their agreed upon commitments, there will also be a $150 credit/debit hold on your account required upon check in. This will be destroyed once you have completed your final volunteer shift for the weekend. This will not be charged to your card unless you fail to follow through with your obligations.

Volunteers MUST be available for the entire weekend. This means arriving on Thursday in time for the mandatory orientation and not leaving until your Sunday shift is complete. Volunteers working Thursday shifts will need to arrive on Wednesday evening. Positions and shifts are not guaranteed, but we do our best to accommodate your preferences.
